St. Alban, born on 22 June, a famous saint. St. Alban's background: Saint Alban was, along with saints Julius and Aaron, one of three Christian martyrs in Britain. Alban is listed in the Church of England calendar of England and Wales for 22 June and he continues to be venerated in the Anglican, Catholic, and Orthodox Communions.

Although he was initially a worshipper of Roman gods including the emperor, he gave shelter to a Christian priest fleeing from persecution. Influenced by the priest's prayer and teaching he became a Christian.
