Variants are names which are based on a particular non-variant (sometimes referred to as a "root" name). For example, "Tilda" is a variant of "Matilda".
Variants may be foreign language versions of a particular name, or perhaps bbreviations or nicknames.
You can search for all variants of a particular name by using our Advanced Search feature.
You can also filter your search results to display only variant names (or non-variant names).
